This training will introduce participants to the components of Universal Design and how to structure the physical classroom to be more accommodating to all children and how to instruct children in a more universal manner that is inclusive of all children. Participants will get an overview of autism spectrum disorder, its causes, characteristics, and specific strategies teachers can take to teach and positively interact with children in the classroom who have been diagnosed with autism. This training is for teachers and administrators of all levels who care for and teach children of all ages and abilities.
